Ed Swena • War Partner

$5,150.00

War Partner a bronze War-Horse sculpture by Ed Swena – For more than a century the nomadic Blackfeet were regarded as the most militant tribe on the northwestern plains.  The horse burst upon the Indian world and became the liberating force for those who learned to master it.  Suddenly the Indian could outrun the Buffalo and give the swift-legged pronghorn a good chase.

Only in the hunt and warfare could a young man hope to be elevated in the eyes of his people.  Every warrior had his favorite war-horse which was guarded even to his death in the event of a raid.
