This is a rare 1985 weighty cold-painted wild life bronze by R. Rousu entitled “Mountain Goat“, mounted on an oak base with a green felt furniture protector underneath. The patina from the cold-painting, a vintage Art Deco technique, has naturally become greenish, with a few tiny areas of patina loss, as seen in the last picture posted. The usual symbol R. Rousu used to authenticate his sculpture pieces which is a WB stamped inside a “Steamboat-like” bucking hose, is pressed into the bronze. Mountain goats such as the one depicted, are seen high in the mountains surrounding Yellowstone National Park if one is willing to ride a horse that far up the trail!
