This is an R. Rousu bronze statue with the words “Cody Wyoming” imprinted in the bronze base, with a shield containing a “C on top of an f” imprinted between the date marking 19-82. The bronze, sitting on an oak base with a green felt table-protector underneath, is of a bison typical to Yellowstone National Park, showing a beautifully detailed and authentic looking figure holding his head up high in the appearance that he is bellowing. The sculpture is large enough to see the detail of his face and coat mane, but small enough to sit majestically on your mantle over a fireplace, or be a coffee table conversation piece.
