Tree shapers a part of the African series where Kent Ullberg utilizes a well known as African landscape icon, the flat top acacia. The distinctive umbrella like quality of the flat top acacia is created by browsers, especially the giraffe, with their great reach under the canopies. The giraffes’ elegant, attenuated and angular forms create adroit spatial compositions, yes indeed they are “tree shapers” of the African Savannah.
