Paul Braslow (20/21st century) is active/lives in California / Israel. Paul Braslow is known for Abstract elongated figurative bronze sculpture.
“Braslow’s Sculptures feature life as he would like it to be… ever so graceful and elegant yet hopeful. They seem to prtray the feel of the work of Constantin Brancusi with their grace, and the work of Alberto Giacometti with their intensity. Post first impressions, one reads the sculptures for their strength of balance, and only then the sense of emption becomes apparent and remains the lasting impression… Paul Braslow was educated in California with an Arts degree from UCLA and private study in Nara (Japan), St. Ives (England), and Carrara (Italy).
His public works in Israel include Entebbe Rescue Memorial at Ben-Gurion Airport and sculptures for Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum and Haifa Museum of Modern Art.
Each sculpture is cast in bronze from a wax mold and then sealed with an enamel finish. Some are left with their natural bronze coloring while others are coated with vibrant, rich colors. He captures the elegance and seduction of Aphrodite, know as the goddess of love. Paul Braslow sculpture is found in the permanent collections of numerous museums and public, private, as well as corporate collections globally.
