“When the piece is rotated clockwise, the man’s face turns toward the woman’s. When it is rotated counterclockwise, her face turns toward him”.
In Illuminata III, the culmination of the Illuminata Trilogy, the destination of our lifelong pilgrimage of spiritual enlightenment is revealed. With Illuminata III, we come to realize that the sacred light which illumines our journey culminates ultimately in love.
Illuminata III builds upon the profound experience of Illuminata I and II and continues the pilgrimage. In Illuminata I we encounter a beauty so mesmerizing that it awakened us to the desire and need for spiritual enlightenment. We were indeed transformed by the power of spiritual beauty. And in turn, Illuminata II poetically visualized Hart’s belief that this spiritual enlightenment did not occur in just a singular moment, but was a gradual, evolutionary, lifelong pilgrimage.
