About Bryan Bridges

Bryan Bridges received his Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors from The Chicago Institute of Art. "I was most influenced by the great sculptors such as Augustus St. Geudens, Borglum, Daniel Chester French, and of course Rodin". His talent for sculpting led him to work as a commercial sculptor / engraver for the private mints. Bryan’s work is part of the permanent collection of The Smithsonian Institution. Bryan Bridges has sculpted engraved portraits in base relief of our great American patriots, many of our presidents, political figures, our warriors, sports greats, and many entertainment stars, from Judy Garland ... "I created the commemoratives for Jack and Bobby Kennedy (when they were running for office) and Martin Luther King. I was still an apprentice engraver when I made the Memorial Coin to Jack Kennedy, when Teddy Kennedy saw it, he was moved to tears." At present, I am sculpting a series of desert wildlife in bronze. I strive for a feeling of transcendence in my work; the magic that happens when we come in contact with a real work of art.
